A note from Asta

You already know what you sell. I build the page that says it.

I’ve designed and built more than forty sites: contractors, salons, restaurants, nonprofits, online stores and product launches. Most were replacing something that looked perfectly fine to the owner and was quietly losing enquiries every week.

The pattern is nearly always the same. The old site says what the business is, but never what it costs, how long it takes, or what happens after you call. So that is where I start — with the questions a customer actually has — and the answers become the structure of the page rather than a paragraph buried halfway down it.

It also means no two of these look alike. A contractor and a paper-crafting studio need opposite things from a website, and the four builds below were drawn from scratch for the businesses they belong to.

Four sites, live and clickable

Every thumbnail is a capture of the real, running site. Open any of them and you land on exactly what you see here.

Studio story · Interiors · Collection

An immersive studio portfolio where light, material and measured typography do the storytelling. The studio's whole pitch is calm, so one arched photograph holds the centre of the screen and everything else falls away from it as you scroll — no hero slogan, no stock imagery anywhere on the site.

Certainty at scale.

Products · Capabilities · Sustainability

A manufacturing site that turns technical capability into a commercial story: food-safe materials, in-house tooling, responsible production and a direct route to quotation. The buyers are procurement teams, so FDA 21 CFR and BRCGS sit in the top bar above everything and the recycled-content figure is a badge on the product, not a claim in a paragraph.

Learning · Kit Clubs · Events

A warm, story-led home for paper crafting that brings booth teaching, approachable projects, club kits and a travelling show calendar together without losing its handmade character. Everyone who sits at their table says “I'm not creative” first, so the hero is one real tile with its four steps named underneath and the whole page answers that sentence.

Process · Pricing · Project proof

A trust-first contractor site that makes an expensive decision legible: itemised bills of quantities, milestone payments tied to completed work, a visible build sequence and detailed project evidence. The photography is their own site mid-pour, and the primary action books a visit rather than requesting a brochure.

I’m Asta — I design and build the whole thing, on my own.

A one-person studio: no agency overhead, no account manager relaying messages, no three-week discovery phase. You bring the business and what it actually sells; I bring the design system, the animation, the code and the deploy.

  • Who will I be talking to?

Me, start to finish. There is no account manager relaying messages, no junior picking it up halfway, and no handover at the end.

  • How long does it take?

Most builds run start to finish inside a week. You get a live link early and watch it change rather than waiting for a reveal.

  • What do I actually own?

The repository, the domain and the files, from day one. Nothing is locked to a page builder or a theme licence, so a retainer — where a build is complex enough to need one — buys work you want done, never permission to keep your own site switched on.

Three crafts, one person

Web Design

  • UI/UX
  • Landing pages
  • Brand-led layout
  • Responsive
  • Motion design

I design in the browser rather than in Figma, so what you approve is the thing that ships: real type sizes, real screen, real motion. Layout, hierarchy and animation get decided together, because on a live page they are the same decision.

Web Development

  • Hand-coded frontend
  • TypeScript
  • React & Next.js
  • GSAP
  • Deploy & domains

Hand-written TypeScript and React. No page builder, no purchased theme, no plugin stack to maintain. The markup stays semantic, the performance score is not an accident, and the repository can be handed to anyone later without an explanation.

3D Design

  • Blender modelling
  • glTF pipeline
  • Three.js / R3F
  • Lighting & materials
  • Scroll-linked scenes

I model in Blender and ship the result running in the browser: glTF through Three.js, lit and materialled to match the brand, tied to scroll where that earns its place. Worth it when the product is physical and a photograph cannot show it turning.

Person, start to finish

I write the design and the code, so the animation gets budgeted the way the typography does, and the page stays fast on the phone your customer actually owns.

Original, not templated

Every layout is drawn for the business it belongs to. If you can name the theme it came from, I have not done the job.

Built to your numbers

I ask how you quote, what you actually charge for and who is buying, then build the page around those answers rather than around a stock structure.

Concept through to deploy

Design, code, content, domain and hosting. One person carries all of it, so nothing gets dropped in a handover between three of them.

You always know where it is

Same-day replies, honest timelines, and a live link you can watch change while the build is happening.

How I work

Four steps, in this order

Most projects run start to finish inside a week. Nothing here is a discovery phase you pay for twice.

  1. Step 01

    Brief & direction

One conversation to settle what the site has to do, who it is talking to and what it must not look like. References, constraints and the conversion action get agreed here rather than argued about later. You leave with a fixed price — 30% of it starts the build.

    ~ 1 hour

  2. Step 02

    Design & motion

The layout gets designed in code, at real sizes, on a real screen. Type, spacing and animation are decided together, and you see the direction moving rather than as a flat picture of it.

    2 – 6 hours

  3. Step 03

    Build & content

The direction becomes the actual site: semantic markup, real copy, every state built (loading, empty, error, success) and tested all the way down to a 375px screen.

    6 – 18 hours

  4. Step 04

    Deploy & after

I deploy to Vercel or Netlify on your own domain, wire up analytics and hand over clean files. The remaining 70% is due at launch. Most sites need nothing after that; ones running animation, 3D, a database, live payments or weekly content changes carry a monthly retainer — quoted with the build, not after it.

In their words

What it’s like to work with me

Reviewers here chose to stay unnamed, so each one is described by the work rather than by a face I made up. The verifiable half of the picture is the index below: every build, live, one click away.

See every build
I sent over a rough idea on a Tuesday and had a live, animated site by the Thursday. Every question I asked got answered the same day.
Startup founderLaunch site
He rebuilt our old site from scratch rather than patching it, and the enquiry form finally works. That alone paid for the job.
Marketing leadRebuild & migration
What I noticed was that he asked what we actually charge for and how we quote — then built the page around that instead of around a template.
Local business ownerServices site
The product photography is the whole business, and he treated it that way. Pages load fast on a phone, which our last site never did.
E-commerce ownerOnline store
No agency overhead and no account manager in the middle. I talked to the person writing the code, which made the whole thing quicker.
